West Therapy Group offers weekly individual therapy, couples therapy, sliding scale therapy, and couples intensive by request. We are in person 5 days a week with availability and no waitlist to meet your unique scheduling needs. 

Individual therapy occurs at least once a week to discuss issues for bringing you to therapy. We get curious together about how to tie your decisions and reactions to the past as a way to heal those subconscious, younger versions of yourself to illicit behavior change and overall life satisfaction.

Sessions are 45 minutes long. Some people prefer to have prepared what they’d like to talk about and some are encouraged to bring things up as they are felt experientially in the room.

This is long-term, depth work, and we encourage you to think of it as something you’ll commit a year or more to, as opposed to a quick fix.

Couples therapy is attended once a week with your partner to discuss current issues that you may be experiencing as a couple. At earlier stages in the treatment, it’s taking an extensive attachment history of each partner to determine how we show up in relationships. Later, we work together to identify the repetitive cycles you can find yourself in with your partner (AKA having the same fight over and over again).

Sessions are 50 minutes long (longer by request) and are only done together as a couple. Most couples stay in treatment for 8-20 sessions, but some stay longer as part of their ongoing relationship hygiene.

*Each person in the couple is highly encouraged to be in their own individual therapy.*

You may qualify for reduced-fee (AKA sliding scale) therapy if you do not have out of network benefits through your insurance plan, or are making minimum wage. If you’re not sure if you qualify, check your benefits here, or email info@westtherapygroup.com to inquire.

We are out of network providers, which means that the full cost of the session is due after each session. We then provide documentation (a “Superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance. If your plan has out of network benefits, they may reimburse 60-80% of your fees, and many plans will reimburse at 100% after your out of network deductible is met.

Our rates vary depending on the clinician you’re working with, and range from $175-$250/session for individual therapy and from $225-$300/session for couples therapy. Sliding scale rates are $140/session for individual therapy and $180/session for couples.

West Therapy Group has a 48-hour cancellation policy. If insufficient notice is given and a reschedule within the same calendar week is unable to occur, the full fee of the session will be charged.

We recommend missing no more than 6 sessions in a calendar year.

West Therapy Group does not offer bi-weekly or monthly sessions. We understand if cost is a barrier, and this should be discussed in your free consultation. We find bi-weekly sessions to be more of a “catch up” and lack the depth that is required for lasting change.

We prioritize in-person therapy over virtual therapy, but understand that it’s not always an option. Minimizing distractions and ritualizing your weekly therapy are slightly more difficult to do when not meeting in person. Make sure to ask your therapist about hybrid options to prioritize consistency if meeting in person isn’t always an option.
